Man United loanee Guillermo Varela suffered a ligament injury (left ankle) during the match against Darmstadt 98 last weekend. He underwent surgery on Tuesday which went well. Varela will not be able to compete for approximately three to four months. Get well soon!

Meanwhile, the kick-off times for the DFB Cup 2nd round have been confirmed; Eintracht’s home match against FC Ingolstadt will take place on Tuesday, 25 October 2016 at 20.45 CET.

Traditional long-term partner Coca Cola and Eintracht extended their partnership for yet another three years until 2019. This was announced at the start of September.
