Eintracht nominated for Team of the Year award

Eintracht Frankfurt will once again be well represented at the Frankfurt Sportgala on 17 November 2018, with the club's football team and three athletes nominated for awards.

The Eintracht football team have been shortlisted for the Team of the Year award once again, having previously been nominated in 2012, 2013 and 2017. The Eagles beat Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich 3-1 in the DFB Cup final on 19 May, thereby securing a place in the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League.

Eintracht Frankfurt Under-20 heptathletes Katharina Plock, Maira Gauges and Miriam Sinning have also been nominated for the Team of the Year award. The trio won gold in the team classification at the German Combined Events Championships in Wesel, setting a new Hessian record of 14,304 points in the process.
