Before heading to America for the Dallas Cup next week, the Eagles’ U19s will warm up with a friendly against the U18s from Urawa Red Diamonds this weekend.
Partner club
The team from Saitama, Japan has been a partner club of Eintracht since 2022, with the collaboration particularly focused on youth development.
It’ll also be good preparation for the Dallas Cup.

“It’s obviously special to play an international friendly,” said coach Helge Rasche in the build-up to the meeting. “It’ll also be good preparation for the Dallas Cup. We’re expecting good-quality opposition and looking forward to a game with an international flavour.”
The friendly between Eintracht and Urawa Red Diamonds takes place on Saturday, 16 March, at the Riederwaldstadion. Kick-off is at 12:00 CET.
