Head coach Adi Hütter: “I saw the reaction I wanted from my team after the defeat against Bremen. We struggled in the first half because we gave away the ball unnecessarily and because VfB were aggressive and in our faces. They paid for that towards the end. Ultimately I’m satisfied with the point. It’s not that easy playing against the third-best away team in the league, especially when they then go 1-0 up. It’s the ninth time that we’ve come from behind, which shows how strong our character is. In addition, we’re still unbeaten at home.”
Makoto Hasebe: “It was a hard-fought game. We offered up too much space in the first half and that’s why we struggled. The second half was better. We would’ve deserved the win more. On the one hand, we’re disappointed because we could’ve improved our position further with a win. Nevertheless, we kept going until the end.”

Kevin Trapp: “It was certainly a battle. Teams are making life hard for us. Stuttgart defended well because they knew that we have a lot of quality up front. We didn’t give away much either, but needed a lot of patience to find a way through going forward and to create chances. After going behind, we immediately went on the attack and scored the equaliser. We want to get the job done and win games – after that, we’ll see where we end up.”
