Rested and highly focused, the Eagles resumed training ahead of the home match against 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Sunday (kick-off 15:30 CEST). After three days off, it was evident in every exercise how fired up the team are for the business end of the season.
Younes and Toure complete full session
The positive atmosphere was further heightened by the return of two players from injury. Not only did Amin Younes complete the full session following private treatment for his adductor problem in Belgium, but the nippy attacker also put in an extra shift consisting of passing and shooting drills with a handful of his teammates. Almamy Toure also came through the whole group session for the first time since the tendon injury he suffered at the start of March.
Since Monday, the players, coaches and backroom staff have been staying exclusively at the training ground or in their home environment, in line with the first stage of the DFL’s quarantine measures.
