“I was adamant about coming to Eintracht”

New signing Amin Younes discusses his strengths, objectives and reasons for moving to Frankfurt.

Amin Younes on…

… Eintracht: “Everything felt right at Eintracht. I was adamant about coming here, which is why it was worth it for me to make financial sacrifices. I want to play football and get better. The club certainly tried hard and we all came together in agreement. I like the way Eintracht have developed in recent years. That’s why I said, and thought, that I’d like to be a part of that.”

… his strengths and weaknesses: “I’d say my strengths lie in one-on-ones in attack. Movement and creativity are certainly strengths of mine, too. I regularly manage to create chances out of nothing. I certainly have a few weaknesses as well, which I’ll be working to improve every day in training.”

… his position in the team: “I see myself as an all-rounder because I can play on the wing but equally I can also play as the supporting striker or number 10. What’s important is that the performance and the effort in training are right, and then we’ll see where I’m deployed. But essentially, that’s down to the coach. I’m new here and will fit in.”

… his objectives: “Of course, I’d like to reach a Europa League final with Eintracht and play in Europe. I strive for more and it’s my hope and wish to be able to play for the national team again. That remains my personal goal.”
