“Want to wrap things up”

Oliver Glasner and Sebastian Rode discussed the development and the mood in the team, upcoming opponents Antwerp and the objective of winning the group.

After the final training session, it was straight to media duties for Oliver Glasner and Sebastian Rode. At the press conference ahead of the home match against Royal Antwerp FC, the head coach and captain answered questions on…

...team news:

Oliver Glasner: “Martin Hinteregger isn't ready yet. We hope he'll be back for Sunday. Goncalo will return to the squad. Our attacking players have done well recently. Nevertheless I'm glad that Goncalo is back.”

...the final home match in this season’s Europa League group stage:

Oliver Glasner: “We consider ourselves well prepared and want to wrap things up. Our goal is to go into next year as winners of our Europa League group, but Antwerp are a good team who made life difficult for us in the reverse fixture.”

We're in a good position and want to confirm the group win. We're fired up for it.

Sebastian Rode

Sebastian Rode: “There's always huge excitement when you play at home in Europe. We're in a good position and want to confirm the group win. We're fired up for it. ”

...expectations of the match:

Oliver Glasner: “I’m expecting a good team who have steadied themselves. For us it will be harder than the reverse fixture because before that we knew more definitely how the opposition would play. Since then, Antwerp have changed their system more frequently and rotated a few times. That makes the preparation a bit more difficult, but our focus remains on our own game.”

Sebastian Rode: “It would be nice if we managed to play more calmly right up until the end and make sure of the win earlier on, because it obviously takes more out of you when we need until the 90th minute to clinch the win. To do that we all need to give it our all.”
