…saturday’s opponents: Hoffenheim put in an absolutely top performance against FC Bayern and got a very good result. So it will be a big challenge for us, but one that we're relishing. They have been very compact and snappy recently and have been countering very quickly. We need to pick up from where we left off in Berlin. If we manage that, it will be a highly interesting match."

…his expectations of the match: “If we can build on our performance from the first half against Hertha, in particular, then I’d be happy if I can get a fifth win in as many games against Hoffenheim. But at the end of the day, my personal statistics don’t matter. We need to start the season well and get points on the board early. If we do that, then we can achieve a lot this season."

…his line-up on Saturday: “Evan Ndicka will miss out again, along with Filip Kostic. Everyone else is available for Saturday. It was definitely important for us to see in Berlin that we can win without Filip – and also for Filip himself. Markus Schubert will be in the squad. Ajdin Hrustic trained with the team for the first time today, so is also theoretically an option for us. Danny da Costa had a few problems in training yesterday, which is why he didn’t take part today. If he’s fit, then he could play on Saturday.”
