"We're well prepared" – Adi Hütter's key quotes ahead of the trip to Werder Bremen

Ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt's visit to Werder Bremen on Saturday (kick-off: 18:30CET), head coach Adi Hütter spoke about the game, the absence of Gelson Fernandes and the hectic upcoming schedule.

Adi Hütter on ...

... personnel: "We've always said that if a player wants a change, then we'll find a solution together. That was the case just recently with Carlos Salcedo. The transfer window is open for a few more days, so things could happen in both directions, although I'm not really the right person to talk to about that. All in all, I'm happy with the squad. With an eye on this weekend, Mijat Gacinovic has completely recovered and is therefore an option."

... the absence of Gelson Fernandes: "As a basic rule, there are always periods of a season when one player or another is suspended. Gelson has been in good form recently and will slot back into the squad after Bremen. For Saturday we have players who can replace Gelson, even if they'll do so in a slightly different way. That's why we have different types of players in midfield and different tactical options prepared."

... next opponents Werder Bremen:
"Werder have a good, skilled attack with players always capable of finding the net – that's why they're the only Bundesliga side to have scored in every game this season. On top of that, in midfield they have players – Davy Klaassen and Nuri Sahin – who can play a killer pass. We need to ready ourselves for different formations because Florian Kohfeldt likes switching players and systems. Bremen are very good at home, have great fans and put in a good performance on their return to action in Hannover last time out. Even so, I'm focussing on our team. We'll have to find responses, but are well prepared and in a position to win away from home. Two good footballing sides are facing off."

... the busy upcoming schedule:
"After a defeat just prior to the winter break, it was important to bounce back to winning ways straight away. We have some really interesting games to come in the next few weeks. Every Bundesliga opponent is up near the top, and we have two European knockout games against Shakhtar Donetsk. After that, we'll see where we are. That's why I made the point after our recent win that if we play as we did against Freiburg, it'll be tough. I'm convinced, though, that the team will improve."
