“Everyone’s got a clear head”

Timothy Chandler discusses the mood in the Eintracht camp, his role in the side and ending his career with the Eagles.

Timothy Chandler on…

…the mood in the team: “We’re all feeling pretty good. Obviously we’ve just lost to two strong opponents away from home and we were very disappointed after those defeats. We’re already fully focused again, everyone’s got a clear head and everyone’s motivated.”

…his role: “It’s important to me that there’s always a good atmosphere. That’s why I like to cheer one or two people up when they’re not doing so well. I’ve been here a long time and everyone accepts me as a person. That’s why, as well as my jokes, I can also have a serious chat with the lads sometimes.”

Frankfurt is my home, that’s why I’m sure I’ll finish my career here.

…pressure in the final straight: “Every player probably feels the pressure a little differently. You can’t play 34 games at the best of your ability, it’s very difficult. That’s why we don’t put too much pressure on ourselves.”

…ending his career at Eintracht: “For me, nothing else matters but Eintracht Frankfurt. Frankfurt is my home, that’s why I’m sure I’ll finish my career here. In the end, of course, other people will decide what happens to me in the future.”
