… his first few days in Frankfurt: “Gude! (laughs) Was that good? I’m very happy to be here. I’ve been very warmly welcomed, I got on straight away with everyone in the team and the staff. Learning the language is very important so that I can quickly integrate and understand my team-mates. Maybe I can do the next press conference in German (laughs).”
… his move to Eintracht: “I’ve spoken a lot with the coach and had a good connection with him straight away. Obviously, it helps that he speaks French. I’m excited by the club, they won the Europa League three years ago and have been competing at the top in the Bundesliga recently. I spoke with Kolo [Randal Kolo Muani] about Eintracht, he only had good things to say. I was also recently in touch with Niels [Nkounkou] and Heki [Hugo Ekitiké].”
… his aims with Eintracht: “I just want to help the team, whether it’s with goals or assists. The team are doing well, we’re in a very good position in the Bundesliga and the Europa League. We want to give everything to make the club and the fans happy at the end of the season.”

… his role up front: “I already know Heki and think we can complement each other very well and work well together. He’s got very good abilities, including his pace. Of course, I’m aware of some of the strikers Eintracht have had in recent years – those names speak for the club. I’ll work hard to show what I’m capable of and to join those ranks.”
… his time in Montpellier: “That was actually my best season so far [the 2022/23 season]. With time my team-mates got to know me better and expectations of me increased. I don’t doubt myself, I know my qualities and my potential. I’m a good striker and will prove that too.”
