Thursday training

The Eagles continue to work hard ahead of the return of the last few players next week.

The half-time whistle has blown on 2021/22 pre-season. After video analysis on Thursday morning, head coach Oliver Glasner invited his players out onto the field for the next training session in the afternoon. Three weeks are done, and in another two-and-a-half, Eintracht will start the new season with the DFB Cup match away to Waldhof Mannheim. After the two recent friendly wins against SV Sandhausen (1-0) and FC Gießen (6-1), SGE are continuing to hone their processes and team play out on the pitch.

Workload management for Blanco and Kamada

Two Eagles were absent from Thursday’s group session due to their workload being managed, with Daichi Kamada and new signing Fabio Blanco Gómez working individually. Switzerland internationals Djibril Sow and Steven Zuber will rejoin training next week, while new arrival Rafael Santos Borré will also link up with the squad at that time.

After practising passing drills, reaction exercises and moves, the players ended the session with some finishing exercises, resulting in several fine goals. On Saturday, Eintracht will take on Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg in their penultimate friendly of the pre-season.
