It’s been an exciting few days for Ansgar Knauff. During his international travels with the Germany U21 team, DFB director Rudi Völler presented Knauff with the silver Fritz Walter Medal in the presence of Hansi Flick, DFB sporting director Panagiotis Chatzialexiou and U21 head coach Antonio Di Salvo.
The 21-year-old was recognised for his achievements in 2021.
The Fritz Walter Medal has been awarded in gold, silver and bronze by the German Football Association to the best young players of the year since 2005.
