Veh: We Are Warned!

Eintracht manager Armin Veh answered the media's questions during the weekly press conference today. The Eagles will play their ninth away match this season against 1860 München on Saturday (kick-off at 13h CET). Find a summary below.

Mr Veh, Pirmin Schwegler did not train for the full session today, why?
He had some issues with his calf today which is why he finished earlier, it was precautionary. His appearance on Saturday is not at risk though.

And how is Mo Idrissou?
We rested Mo again today, it is not certain if he will be able to play. Let's see how he feels tomorrow. Of course he is prepared to play even though it might be painful for him.

Will Rob Friend be in the squad?
No, he will not travel to Munich with us. He will be back in training with the team next week.

Would you have guessed that you will travel to Munich on matchday 16 being top of the Bundesliga 2 and having scored the most goals in both Germany's top divisions?
No, I wouldn't have thought that at the start of the season. We did not even have a complete squad at that time. Only when the transfers of Mo Idrissou and Rob Friend were confirmed I envisaged us competing at the top.

What do you expect in Munich?
We will meet a powerful attacking unit which played really well all season. Only in defense they had to change their formation a few times. The 'Lions' have a good squad and are in the upper standings with 30 goals but could be even further up really. As all of our opponents 1860 will be highly motivated - the team beating us the first time this season will be rated positively. In any case we are warned and we come well prepared.
