Veh: Two Big Steps

During the pre match press conference Eintracht manager Armin Veh offered his views on the match in Berlin and the current situation. Kick-off against Union Berlin is on Monday at 20.15h CET.

Mr Veh, is the match ban of Eintracht supporters away to Union Berlin a disadvantage?
That is always a disadvantage. Especially for us it will be a handicap as we have a large away support.

Two weeks ago you were watching a home match of Union, how do you like the "Alte Försterei" ground?
The stadium is tight and the crowd is close to the action, it is quite alright. They did well considering their circumstances.

What is the situation of the team, are there injured players?
Benny Köhler returned to training yesterday. Everyone else is available, the only one who is out is Martin Amedick with a rupture of a muscle fibre.

Is Mo Idrissou back to his full potential?
He improved with every match he played and the goal in the last game surely helped also. I know he is not yet back to 100% but the more he plays the better he gets. Against Dresden he was also further improved, he simply needs to get playing time.

Will the winning team from last weekend also be the starting 11 against Berlin?
I do not tend to start with the same line-up just because they won the last match. If I feel there is a need for changes then I will action them, even when the team won. I select the best possible line-up for each individual match, of course it also depends on the opponent. Against Berlin I will stick to the team that played against Dresden.

How do you see Union Berlin?
They have a good football team, in terms of their technique I would rate them amongst the best in the league. They are good with set pieces, they also play a diamond formation in midfield and with two strikers up front, like we do. If we win the match in Berlin it would not be one but two big steps for us. But even after this match nothing will be decided on, not even for Greuther Fürth - it will be tight still.
