Veh: Sometimes Less Is More

Ahead of the 7th away match this season (Sunday against FC Ingolstadt, kick-off at 13.30h CET) Eintracht manager Armin Veh answered the media's questions.

Mr Veh, can you confirm who will play up front on Sunday?
I have not decided yet. Theofanis Gekas is fit again und could play. He will travel to Ingolstadt with us either way.

The cup match on Wednesday was a strain for the team. Are some of the players in doubt for the match?
We put great effort into the match against Kaiserslautern and had a tense match over 120 minutes. Some of the players were groggy but until Sunday they will all be back to normal.

Team captain Schwegler will return. On Wednesday Matthias Lehmann replaced him and did well, how do you assess his performance?
Matze Lehmann had a very good game, his best so far for Eintracht. I consider whether I might use him on Sunday and in which position.

It is a match against Ingolstadt who are at the bottom of the standings. Is there a risk to undersetimate the opponent?
No, there is no risk of this happening. We have to ignore them being bottom of the league und focus on our game. Ingolstadt have a decent team which ahead of the season I considered as a possible surprise team.

Did you speak about Wedenesday's defeat with the team?
I briefly spoke with them about it, sometimes less is more. The cup match is history. We know about our quality and we will go into the match focused and confident.

Around 3,000 Eintracht fans will travel to Ingolstadt to support the team. Are you afraid of further excesses after the riots outside the ground on Wednesday?
I am happy about the vocal support of that many fans but I also hope that the troublemakers and those who carry out violence do stay at home.
