Veh: It is easier away from home

The Eagles will travel to Cottbus for tomorrow's match against FC Energie. During the pre match press conference Eintracht manager Armin Veh offered his views.

Mr Veh, is it a tough decision to call up the 18 player squad for away games?
It is never nice having to decide on who joins the team and who stays at home. I never enjoyed it as the lads train hard all week. But 18 is the limit, there is no way around that.

Cottbus collected one point more than Eintracht so far, how important is the match on the way to the top of the league?
It is definately a meeting on a similar level. Of course it is important to keep up with the competitors and not to let them slip away. We should gain something in Cottbus really.

You said you were happy about tomorrow's match being away from home. Why?
Because currently it is easier for us away from home. On home soil our opponents act more defensively and deep in their own half. We had our problems with that.

Do you think Cottbus manager Wollitz will have plenty of info on Eintracht with an ex Eagle in his squad (Martin Fenin)?
I should think so. There are hardly any major secrets around anyway regarding 2. Bundesliga football. Most of the coaches are sufficiently prepared due to the work of their scouts and analysts.
