Veh: Fully Focussed!

Ahead of the home match against Energie Cottbus (Sunday at 13.30h CET) Eintracht manager Armin Veh offered his views. Read some of his statements from the pre match press conference.

Mr Veh, what is your impression of the team right now?
They are doing well. Usually I do the post match analysis myself, this time the team did it which was good. Some of the players were not available this week though as they were travelling with various international teams. But the players come across fully focussed.

How did you support the tem after last week's defeat?
We analysed and reviewed the match. But the football business has a weekly pattern and you have to give credit to the other teams in the league - we're not on our own in 2. Bundesliga. We have done well in the recent weeks and we just have to make sure that we do not perform again like we did against Paderborn.

Will there be implications for some players?
You will always have to weigh up whether the whole team had a bad day or not. It is possible that I will make some changes, there are some precise ideas but I have not made any decisions yet.

What is the latest on Schwegler and Idrissou?
If nothing happens Pirmin will play, he is ready. Mo Idrissou is getting there, he missed the whole preperation during the winter break due to his injury and he needs to catch up. But as I said he is improving, if it is enough for the starting 11 is not certain though.

What do you think of Sunday's opponent Energie Cottbus?
I expected Cottbus in the upper table regions and they had indeed a good start to the season. From the 3-3 draw against us they had a bit of a bad patch although they played well in that match. They have a good attack, I presume they will try and score from fast breaks. Rangelov is a player above-average for 2. Bundesliga, Bittencourt is a great talent and Sörensen is a good player also.
