Four wins and one defeat

While Kostic, Hauge, Lindström and Blanco all got to celebrate wins, Hinteregger and Ilsanker were on the wrong end of a heavy defeat with Austria.

Serbia, for whom Filip Kostic set up two of the goals, enjoyed a 4-1 win over Luxembourg, justifying their status as favourites.

Hauge makes late appearance

Jens Petter Hauge was an 88th- minute substitute in Norway’s 2-0 win over Latvia in Riga.

Hinteregger and Ilsanker suffer setback

In Haifa, Austria fell to a shock 5-2 defeat at the hands of Israel. Martin Hinteregger was part of the starting line-up, while Stefan Ilsanker was brought on in the 77th minute.

Lindström on the bench

Jesper Lindström was a late call-up for the Denmark squad and did not feature in their 1-0 win away to the Faroe Islands.

Late win for Blanco

Fabio Blanco came on in the 61st minute of Spain U18s’ 2-1 win over Switzerland.
