Relishing the next challenge

Following a day off, Eintracht were well-rested and in good spirits as they started their preparations for the next match at Leipzig. There was also good news on Daichi Kamada and Tuta.

After the 1-1 draw against VfB Stuttgart, the Eagles wasted no time in analysing the Matchday 24 encounter with the coaching staff on Tuesday morning. That was followed by a regeneration session before the video analysis of upcoming opponents Leipzig.

The Eagles then took their findings out onto the pitches at Deutsche Bank Park, where head coach Adi Hütter led his squad through the first of six sessions this week.

As expected, Almamy Toure was absent following the tendon injury that he suffered after coming on against Stuttgart, which is set to rule him out for several weeks. However, Daichi Kamada and Tuta were back with the group for the warm-up before working individually.

Start of critical period

Eintracht have some crucial games coming up against the teams around them in the table, starting with Sunday’s trip to second-placed Leipzig. “We’re up against one of the best sides in the Bundesliga in Leipzig, who are winning their games in convincing fashion,” said sporting director Bruno Hübner. “They have a top team.”

The motivation could be particularly seen in the face of Stefan Ilsanker after the day’s work was done. “I’m looking forward to seeing old teammates again,” said the ex-Leipzig man. “It will be a top game, I can’t wait.”
