Two Teams - One Spirit

A long lasting friendship between two Eintracht fan clubs and a large group of Oldham Athletic supporters will have its 30th anniversary next year. For the match against Bremen plenty of Oldham supporters paid their friends a visit in Frankfurt.

SGE fan clubs EFC Bockenheim and Rhönadler met the Oldham Athletic supporters during an international fan club football tournament nearly 30 years back. Soon after the two groups started visiting each other in Germany or in Northern England, of course to visit matches of the Eagels or the Owls but also for social events, World Cups and other festivities.

For the match against Bremen a good 30 Oldham supporters hopped across the channel to join their fellow Eintracht friends - some great lucky charms they were helping us to win 4-1 against Werder. The English internet team met the guys ahead of the match at the Eintracht museum handing over some gifts including a framed image of Tore Pedersen. The Norwegian had spells at both Oldham Athletic FC and Eintracht Frankfurt during his active footballing career.

Thanks lads, for coming over and supporting our team. We hope to see you again next year when your fan friendship with the EFCs will have its 30th anniversary. Two teams - one spirit!
