Two new recruits for Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt have taken on two new players for 2010/11. Georgios Tzavellas (from Panionios Athens) and Sebastian Rode (from Kickers Offenbach) will be joining Michael Skibbe's side.

The 19-year-old U-20 international Rode comes from Offenbacher Kickers. On Thursday afternoon the midfielder passed a medical examination and signed a four-year contract at Eintracht Frankfurt until June 30th 2014.

A goal in the 3. Liga

Sebastian Rode started off at Viktoria Grieshelm, arriving at Offenbacher Kickers in 2005 from SV Darmstadt 98. He made his way into the first team in 2008/09, playing 15 games and scoring one goal.

He has also played 12 times for the German U-18 and U-19 teams.

New Greek defender

Greek defender Georgios Tzavellas also signed a contract on Thursday expiring on June 30th 2013. The 22-year-old arrives in Frankfurt from Greek Super League side Panionios Athens.

In Athens, Tzavellas had a convincing season with 11 goal assists. He also played 41 games for Panionios, scoring two goals. Tzavellas isn't part of the final Greek side going to South Africa, but is nonetheless seen as a big talent for the future.

The defender was voted the best Greek left-back last season. For Eintracht Frankfurt next season Tzavellas will wear number 31. Both players will be formally introduced on Friday.
