Tuta commits long-term future to Eintracht

Central defender Tuta has signed an early contract extension with Eintracht Frankfurt until 30 June 2026.

Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed to extend the contract of centre-back Tuta, whose previous deal was due to expire in 2023, by three more years until 30 June 2026.

Tuta, whose birth name is Lucas Silva Melo, joined the Eagles at 19 years of age from Sao Paulo FC in January 2019. This season, the now 22-year-old has established himself as one of the Europa League finalists’ key performers.

“We’re delighted that a player as talented and important as Tuta has signed a long-term deal with Eintracht,” said board member for sport, Markus Krösche. “He has taken the next step in his development this season and has become a permanent fixture in the team. It says a lot about Eintracht Frankfurt that he is staying with us.”
