France enjoyed a perfect start to their qualifying campaign for UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany, with Les Bleus beating the Netherlands 4-0 in front of a crowd of 80,000 at the Stade de France. Randal Kolo Muani started up front and was replaced by Olivier Giroud in the 77th minute.
Elsewhere, Faride Alidou and Ansgar Knauff were in action for Germany's U21 against their Japanese counterparts at the PSD Arena in Frankfurt. Alidou played until the 72nd minute and Knauff until the 77th of the 2-2 draw.
Daichi Kamada and Rafael Santos Borré were also involved in draws: the Samurai Blue held Uruguay to a 1-1 stalemate, while Colombia shared a 2-2 scoreline with South Korea. Both players were also in the respective starting line-ups, with Kamada on the pitch until the 75th minute in Tokyo and Borré playing until the 74th minute in Ulan.
