Transfers: Daichi Kamada & Luka Jovic Join SGE

The Eagles keep shaping up their squad for the new season, read up on the two most recent arrivals.

Another Samurai: Daichi Kamada

Ever since Junichi Inamoto, Naohiro Takahara or Takashi Inui played for Eintracht there has been a Japanese tradition at the club. One of SGE's most influential players at the moment is "Samurai Blue" international (and team captain) Makoto Hasebe who unfortunately missed the latter part of last season due to a knee injury.

Now midfielder Daichi Kamada (20) joins from J-League club Sagan Tosu, he signed a four-year contract until 2021. Eintracht board member Fredi Bobic: "We have seen many games of Daichi, he has great potential and will open up additional opportunities in midfield and up front."

Daichi Kamada: "This is happening very fast now; I only played my last match in Japan a few days ago and now a completely new phase of my life starts. It is a fantastic opportunity for me of course and I am really excited about joining Eintracht."

Jovic Arrival: My Name is Luka

A few days before the Kamada deal Eintracht announced the signing of Serbian Under-21 international Luka Jovic (49 caps in various youth teams). The 19-year old striker joins the Eagles for two years on a loan deal from Benfica; he featured mainly in the second team of the Portuguese football club.

Fredi Bobic: "We are glad that this transfer came through; hopefully Luka will settle in quickly. We were striving for signing him and of course making use of the buyers option can be on the agenda one day."

Luka Jovic: "I am looking forward to play in Bundesliga which is on another level compared to football in Portugal. I have plenty of anticipation and I am very grateful to be given this opportunity at Eintracht."
