After lots of hard work and plenty of training sessions in Abu Dhabi during their training camp Eintracht's first team made the two hour trip to Dubai and took on BVB in a friendly.
The lack of match fitness showed as Dortmund were the dominant team with quite a few scoring opportunities in both halves, they took the lead with a penalty goal of Gündogan (39') and added goals after the break. Ramos scored a brace (48', 68') and Kagawa netted in between (62').
Marco Fabian hit the cross-bar with a neat direct free-kick in the second half as did Djakpa with a deflected shot late in the day. But it was a deserved defeat in which manager Armin Veh tried all three winter signings - Ayhan in defense, Fabian and Huszti in midfield - in the starting 11 and made six substitutions.
Line-Ups:
Eintracht: Hradecky - Ignjovski (46' Russ), Abraham (60' Chandler), Ayhan (72' Kinsombi), Oczipka (60' Djakpa) - Huszti, Hasebe - Aigner (66' Gacinovic), Stendera (66' Medojevic), Fabian - Meier
