Both the club and the player have agreed to a mutual termination of the contract, which was due to expire on 30 June 2020. The 27-year-old Israel international moved to Frankfurt from Maccabi Haifa in summer 2016 and made a total of 30 Bundesliga appearances for the Eagles.
Tawatha also played in the DFB Cup seven times and scored the important opening goal in the semi-final at Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2017, which Eintracht eventually won on penalties to progress to the final.
