Salcedo had suffered a serious shoulder injury during the Confederations Cup when playing for his national side of Mexico against New Zealand.
Expert Dr Ricardo Salinas Garza operated on Salcedo in Monterrey, Mexico on Saturday. The defender will be able to leave the clinic already tomorrow; he will then start his rehab programme right away. As expected he will be out of action for around three months.
