Eintracht’s latest international adventure is about to get under way. Before boarding the plane to the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday morning, however, the Eagles squad took to the Deutsche Bank Park pitch for the first of several double training sessions lined up in January.

Head coach Oliver Glasner faced the EintrachtTV cameras at the end of the first session, saying: “The first impression is a good one. Everyone is highly professional and has completed their home training programme.”
Looking ahead to Eintracht’s winter training camp in Dubai from 4 to 14 January, the Eagles boss added: “If someone had told me it was going to be 18 degrees here every day, we would have stayed in Frankfurt. Our friendly opponents were a big issue. It’s not that easy because all the other leagues are already playing again. In Dubai, we’re guaranteed good weather, perfect conditions and two opponents who play in the Europa Conference League and Champions League.”
