Late win for Bahoya and France

Les Bleuets beat Georgia 3-2 in stoppage time, leaving them in a strong position to reach the quarter-finals of the U21 Euro.

The European Under-21 Championship in Slovakia is in full swing, with the group stage halfway through. On Saturday it was Jean-Mattéo Bahoya’s turn for the second time, and the Eintracht attacker celebrated a first win of the tournament with France against Georgia. They left it pretty late, mind, with Thierno Barry’s winner to make it 3-2 coming in the 12th minute of added time. The French are now level on points with leaders Portugal in second place on four points. Bahoya was an unused substitute.
