Assist for Sow, Ilsanker hits half-century

On the final night of the international break, the only Eagles to record a win were the Swiss.

Younes unable to prevent defeat for Germany

Germany lost their World Cup qualifier 2-1 at home to North Macedonia in Duisburg. Kevin Trapp was an unused substitute, while Amin Younes was brought on in the 56th minute but was powerless to prevent his side’s defeat.

Fifty caps for Ilsanker

Stefan Ilsanker featured in Austria’s 4-0 defeat to Denmark in Vienna. The midfielder was in the starting line-up for his 50th appearance for his country, before being replaced in the 65th minute.

Zuber and Sow steer Switzerland to success

Steven Zuber and Djibril Sow both started Switzerland’s 3-2 friendly win over Finland in St Gallen. Sow set up the goal that saw his team take a 1-0 lead before coming off in the 76th minute, while Zuber played the whole match.
