Skibbe: Get the First Win

Ahead of Saturday's home game against Bayer Leverkusen (kick off 15.30h CET) manager Michael Skibbe offered his views.

Mr Skibbe, Pirmin Schwegler was injured during his international game with Switzerland. How is he?
He is much better than he was last night.

What happened exactly?
While attempting a shot he was hit by a harsh tackle. His ankle and his thigh are aching and he has got minor injuries in his face.

And how does it look for Saturday?
He is in doubt for the game. He was not able to join training today. We will have to wait and see.

Did the other players return OK from their trips?
Yes, Sebastian Jung and Georgios Tzavellas are fine.

What do you think about Bayer Leverkusen?
They are an excellent team who could have gained more so far this season than the second spot they are currently in. Offensively they are very powerful and their squad is of a high standard. But they also showed some weaknesses in recent games, especially in defense. We will try and take advantage of those. We want to score our first goal this year but also try and get the first win.

No goal so far this year – did you account for that in training this week?
We also trained finishing and scoring. Currently there is a lack of coolness in front of the goal but also the pinch of luck is missing.

There is a statistic with a ranking about converting chances where Eintracht is to be found in the lower regions.
We know this statistic. One goal in six games is of course not a great fact. But we want to change that.
