Another win for Skhiri

Ellyes Skhiri and Tunisia preserved their perfect record in World Cup qualifying by beating Equatorial Guinea, while Hugo Larsson was in friendly action for Sweden against Denmark.

Ellyes Skhiri and Tunisia preserved their 100 percent record in qualifying for the FIFA 2026 World Cup by overcoming Equatorial Guinea 1-0 in their third Group H fixture. Skhiri played the whole 90 minutes for Les Aigles de Carthage at Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi in Radès, with Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot eight minutes from time. Skhiri and his colleagues are back in action on Sunday 9 June, when they take on Namibia.

Elsewhere, Hugo Larsson was a half-time substitute as Sweden lost 2-1 to Denmark in Copenhagen. The Blagult face Serbia in Solna in their next game on Saturday 8 June.
