“We’ve come here to win”

Oliver Glasner and Erik Durm made their intentions clear ahead of the match against Olympiacos, while the Eintracht boss also provided a team news update.

Oliver Glasner on...

...team news: "Ajdin took a hit to his ankle in training. Filip has a problem around the Achilles and ankle area. We'll have to wait and see what happens with them. "Kostic and Hrustic will be out for a short period. We're also without Lenz and Paciencia. Rode and Jakic are fit again, though, so we've come here with a strong squad."

...the state of play: “We go into every match to win it and put in a good performance. We’ve not been playing that well lately, but we did get a point against Leipzig and produced our best half against Olympiacos. We’re the only team who have managed to beat them this season. We’ll try to do that again.”

We can achieve one of our objectives for the season tomorrow.

Head coach Oliver Glasner

...objectives in Europe: “We went into this Europa League season with the approach that we want to win every match and not worry about any permutations. We can achieve one of our objectives for the season tomorrow. To do that on Matchday 4 would be extraordinary.”

Erik Durm on...

...the return fixture against Olympiacos: “We’ve come here to win and progress in the Europa League. We’ve prepared ourselves for a fierce contest, a fierce atmosphere. There’ll be a lot of noise coming from the stands, which we’re looking forward to. That’s why we started as kids, so that one day we could play on the big stage. We’ve been looking forward to it all week. We’ve trained well and are feeling positive.”
