Eintracht Frankfurt are continuing to invest in the future, with talented young goalkeeper talent Simon Simoni moving to the Main from Albanian second-division club FK Dinamo. The 18-year-old has made eight appearances for the first team this season, keeping five clean sheets. Simoni has already represented Albania 21 times at youth level and was called up to the senior squad in June. He’s been given a contract in Frankfurt until 2027.
Goalkeeping coach Jan Zimmermann is looking forward to working with the gifted young shot-stopper from Albania: “Simon is one of the biggest goalkeeping talents in his age group and has already gained experience at senior level at a young age. He's a brave goalkeeper with good dynamism and great potential. The whole package fits with him.”
We also have the opportunities to develop players like Simon through match practice, which is very important.
