It is only the third outing of Eintracht and Augsburg in a competitive match but there are plenty of facts and figures ahead of the match.

HISTORY

  • The match on Friday night is the third Bundesliga meeting only between the two teams, in fact in a competitive match even.
  • Eintracht won the first leg last season 4-2 at home (goals Meier 2, Aigner, own goal), FCA won the return leg 2-0.
  • Augsburg conceded 4 goals in Dortmund and Frankfurt only last season.

  • Augsburg picked up impressive 10 points of possible 12 in their last 4 matches. They have a 16 point gap towards the play-off spot.
  • They also conceded 3 goals only in those last 4 games.
