The 28-year-old, who joined the Eagles on loan from Borussia Dortmund during the winter transfer period, suffered the injury in the UEFA Europa League semi-final second leg away to Chelsea on Thursday.
"Played a big role"
"Over the past few months Sebastian Rode has shown just how good a footballer he is," said board member Fredi Bobic. "He's played a big role in our team's excellent performances in the Bundesliga and the Europa League. He's got a good head on his shoulders and I'm sure he'll come back stronger. We'll discuss things calmly with Dortmund over the coming weeks about how we'll proceed from here."
Rode has made 12 Bundesliga appearances and eight Europa League outings for Eintracht in the past five months. He scored the vital second goal in the Eagles' 2-0 home win over Benfica in the Europa League quarter-finals.
