“Two points dropped”

While there was disappointment following the draw with Bremen, the Eintracht camp were keen not to dwell on the negatives.

Head coach Adi Hütter: “I’m not happy with the first 30 minutes because we didn’t play with enough speed or aggression. The second half was more like Eintracht because we put a lot into it, played more directly and had more chances and possession. But ultimately we didn’t get enough out of the game so I’m not satisfied with the result.”

I’m a bit disappointed because we wanted to take all three points at home to Bremen.

Sporting director Bruno Hübner: “It’s a similar feeling to the one we had after drawing 1-1 in Cologne. It feels like two points dropped, but seeing as we went behind a draw is OK at the end of the day. Nine points from six matches is a decent return, even if we obviously wanted to win. That would have been important with a view to our upcoming game in Stuttgart. It’s too early to make any predictions for the season – it will obviously be important to pick up points in Stuttgart so that we can build on that for our matches after the international break. We’ll see where we are after that.”

Sebastian Rode: “I’m a bit disappointed because we wanted to take all three points at home to Bremen. We shouldn’t only properly get going after we fall behind. We wanted to hit the ground running right from the first minute, but we didn’t manage to do that. It’s a similar situation to the one we had earlier this year, and we need to adapt. We’ve had a solid start to the season, but at the same time we’ve squandered a lot of chances and dropped points, against the likes of Bielefeld, Cologne and Bremen. We’ve got our next opportunity against Stuttgart.”
