Pro deal for Junior Awusi Boddien

The winger, who has been with Eintracht since 2017, has signed a professional contract until 30 June 2026. The deal includes an option of a further 12 months.

Junior Awusi Boddien has become the latest youngster to sign professional terms with Eintracht Frankfurt. The versatile attacker joined Eintracht’s academy as an 11-year-old and has represented all the youth teams up to U19 level. Injuries restricted the Madrid native to 13 appearances in the U19 Bundesliga South/Southwest last season, but he still managed to register two goals and five assists.

In 2022/23, the 18-year-old racked up 18 goal involvements (nine goals and as many assists) in just 15 appearances in the U17 Bundesliga South/Southwest. He also played one league game for the U19 side and made another five appearances in the UEFA Youth League, scoring once. The teenager was also part of the Eintracht first team’s tour of Japan in autumn 2022.

Sporting director Timmo Hardung: “We’re pleased that we’ve been able to retain another talented youngster for the coming years in Junior. With his dribbling ability in attack and threat in front of goal, he has an exciting skillset. Our joint task now is to gradually introduce Junior to men’s football so he can show his qualities on a regular basis on the pitch.”
