Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Niko Kovac: "The most important thing is that we qualified. It was a tough game against second-tier opposition, just as we expected. It was a victory we had to fight for, but the lack of concentration in our passing in the first half frustrated me. We weren't up to speed for most of the 90 minutes and that's why it became the real battle it did. Now, though, we're in the last eight of the DFB Cup and that was the aim. All in all, it was a good first half of the season, but I'm already thinking about what's to come after Christmas. It was important to win today ahead of the shorter winter break. It's a good feeling to end with a win before the holidays. We're in the DFB Cup quarter-finals and have 26 points under our belts in the Bundesliga. We're working to a really high standard and have ended 2017 well. We want to continue like this in 2018."
Eintracht Frankfurt midfield motor Kevin-Prince Boateng: "The main thing today was not getting injured and making sure we qualified. That's all that mattered and we've done that."
Eintracht Frankfurt defender Marco Russ: "I always thought we were in control. The longer the game went on, the better we got and eventually we scored the goals. Fortunately we avoided a penalty shoot-out. That was important."
