The young Eagle is in line to make his competitive debut for USA, while Pacho, Marmoush, Skhiri, Larsson and Knauff are all involved in qualifiers and Trapp’s Germany have a friendly lined up. In total, 9 SGE players have been called up.
The third FIFA-mandated international break for the 2023/24 season, and the last one of this calendar year, will run from 13 to 21 November. Nine Eintracht players will be heading off to the four corners of the globe – some for friendlies, others in the quest for all-important points in qualifiers.
Paxten Aaronson’s call-up brings with it the hope that he will play his first competitive match for the USA, after being part of the full international squad at the start of the year for a friendly against Serbia. This time around, USA are involved in the CONCACAF Nations League play-offs.
“I’m very proud. I feel a real sense of honour and fulfilment and I’m ready for the challenges that lie ahead with the national team,” the 20-year-old said, adding that he is looking forward to having his family watching him and his brother Brenden.
