Marmoush joins Manchester City

Omar Marmoush has left Eintracht Frankfurt after a successful 18-month spell at the club and completed a move to English champions Manchester City.

Eintracht Frankfurt and Manchester City have reached an agreement regarding an immediate transfer of Omar Marmoush.

Since joining the Eagles at the start of the 2023/24 campaign, the Egypt international swiftly became a key player in Eintracht’s attack. The 25-year-old registered 17 goals and six assists in 41 competitive outings in his first year at the club, and went on to better that in the first half of the 2024/25 campaign with 20 goals and 14 assists across 26 games in all competitions.

He set a new club record in the Bundesliga with 15 goals in the first 17 games of a season, while he was also directly involved in a league-high nine goals from set pieces this term.

We wish Omar Marmoush all the best for the future.

All of which caught the attention of Manchester City, who have won the last four consecutive Premier League titles in England and also lifted the UEFA Champions League in 2023. Following 67 games in total for the Eagles, Marmoush will now lace his boots for the ten-time English champions.

Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche: “Omar approached us about his desire to move clubs and underlined that it could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for him to play for an absolute top club in the Premier League. He has achieved a great deal for Eintracht Frankfurt and played a major role in our sporting development. That was one of the reasons why we decided to grant his request. We wish Omar Marmoush all the best for the future. He will always be very welcome in Frankfurt.”
