The team will fly out to Bozen in South Tyrol on Monday morning and then take the coach to Gais. A fisrt afternoon session will kick off the training camp in which mostly two sessions are scheduled per day. "We will work very hard," SGE coach Niko Kovac announced. Except from a mixed weather forecast the conditions in Gais will be very good for the team and its staff.
Friendlies
The Eagles will play two friendlies against Serie A teams during the one-week training camp; on Thursday they will meet US Sassuolo (17h CET) in Brixen and on Sundy Benevento Calcio in Gais (18h CET). They will return to Germany on Monday where two more test matches will take place; first it will be Betis Sevilla (in Wiesbaden, 5 Aug) and then FSV Frankfurt at Commerzbank-Arena (6 Aug).
All aboard!
New signing Jetro Willems had his first training with his new team mates on Saturday and of course will join them for the training camp. Also Marco Fabian re-joined the squad, he had an extended break as he played the Confed Cup in Russia where he scored the goal of the tournament for Mexico. His Mexican team mate and Eintracht's new defender Carlos Salcedo suffered a shoulder injury during the Confed Cup but will also make the trip to Gais.
The lads will have to switch to competition mode for the first DFB-Pokal round away against TuS Erndtebrück (12 Aug in Siegen). Bundesliga will finally kick off for us away against SC Freiburg on Sunday 20 August.
