Oliver Glasner had a full squad to choose from in training on Wednesday as Eintracht started their preparations for a busy month of fixtures. “I’ve been playing football for 20 years,” said Makoto Hasebe after the Eagles’ first session of the week. “There’s always competition, including now. There were 28 of us today – we have a large squad, which gives the coach an embarrassment of riches. That’s good for the team.”
Eintracht will train once a day until Friday afternoon, when they head to Sinsheim for their away match against TSG Hoffenheim at 15:30 CET on Saturday.
Glasner’s team then face Fenerbahce in the UEFA Europa League and Bayer Leverkusen (h), Borussia Mönchengladbach (a) and Mainz (h) in the Bundesliga before the winter break.
