“We want to get three points again”

Ahead of Eintracht’s game at home to Dortmund, Adi Hütter assesses the Eagles’ chances of victory and their opponents’ strengths.

Adi Hütter on…

…Eintracht’s objectives on Saturday: “We want to get three points again and I fully believe we’re capable of doing that against Dortmund. The last few games have all been tight and hard-fought affairs, so I’m expecting an exciting match and hopefully we can keep the three points here at the end of it. We need to believe in our strengths and show that from the first minute. On a perfect day we’re capable of beating almost any team, because we often raise our game to match our opponents.”

…personell: “Sebastian Rode is fit and available for selection. We need to wait and see with Aymen Barkok. He’s allowed to be involved again after his negative test results and is taking part in training. We’ll have to see whether he’s fit enough for tomorrow.”

…six draws in nine Bundesliga games: “We’re finding it a bit difficult to win games at the moment, which I’m not happy about. On the other hand we’re also difficult to beat, which is a positive. The fact remains that we’ll do everything we can to win the game tomorrow.”

We need to believe in our strengths and show that from the first minute. On a perfect day we’re capable of beating almost any team, because we often raise our game to match our opponents.

Head coach Adi Hütter

…their tactical approach: “We need to be very disciplined tactically throughout the 90 minutes. If you allow BVB space, their pace and strength in one-on-one situations will make things difficult. We’re really looking forward to the game. We’re hosting a top side with a lot of good players. To get a positive result we need to be focused and up to the challenge from the off. We need to do better in the early stages of the game than we have of late, no question.”

…opponents Borussia Dortmund: “They’re obviously a very strong team with a highly dangerous attack and a solid defence. They played in midweek, which could give us an advantage.”

…Dortmund’s tactics: “Even without Erling Haaland, we can’t afford to underestimate them because of their quick wide players. They play on the front foot and attack with pace. It’s up to us to thwart their attacks as early as possible.”
