Matanovic inspires comeback

The Eintracht striker celebrated his first goal and a win with Croatia in the UEFA Nations League. Kristensen and Denmark were beaten by Spain.

Third international appearance for Croatia, second start and first goal: it was a special evening for Igor Matanovic at Stadion Maksimir in Zagreb, who scored the equaliser in the 36th minute as his team came from a goal down to win 2-1 against Scotland in the Nations League.

In the same competition, Rasmus Kristensen and Denmark suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against European champions Spain. The Frankfurt full-back played the full 90 minutes in Murcia. The result saw Spain move a point above the Danes into top spot in Group A4.
