Eintracht Frankfurt will once again be able to count on the services of Martin Hinteregger this season. The Austrian international spent the second half of last term on loan with the Eagles, and FC Augsburg have now agreed to let him join the club on a permanent basis. Hinteregger made the trip to Frankfurt to sign a five-year deal, tying him at the club until 30 June 2024.
"The length of the contract sends out a clear signal of intent – namely that we want to build a squad for the long term," said Eintracht board member Fredi Bobic. "In the second half of last season Martin showed that he would be a real asset to the club."
