Russ had been playing for Eintracht youth teams since the age of 10 and joined the first team in 2004. The 25 year old defender featured in 159 Bundesliga matches (13 goals) for Eintracht (plus four in 2. Bundesliga).
Sporting Director Bruno Hübner: "We regret having to let Marco Russ go, he was a big part of the team. After relegation it was obvious that we also had to action transfers of this kind. Now we will focus on filling this gap as soon as possible."
