Prof. Pfab moved to Frankfurt from FC Ingolstadt at the start of last season and has been a driving force, together with his team of doctors, in the restructuring of the medical department since then. The Munich-born 44-year-old had previously gained a reputation for working specifically to prevent muscle injuries. “I believe we’re now where I’d like us to be in terms of our medical setup,” said board member Fredi Bobic.
This follows Monday’s announcement that Eintracht have recruited Andreas Beck for the new position of head of conditioning, prevention and rehabilitation.
