Kumho Tire strengthens profile with Eintracht Frankfurt

Korean manufacturer Kumho Tire and Eintracht Frankfurt have signed a three-year strategic partnership agreement.

The cooperation is designed to increase brand awareness and image for Kumho Tire and will involve an advertising presence in the stadium and the hospitality areas, as well as combined social media activities. The company will be supporting the men’s and the esports teams, and is planning to run joint campaigns with EintrachtTech.

“We are delighted to welcome Kumho Tire into our circle of partners,” said Axel Hellmann, CEO of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG. “With their focus on innovation and sustainability, the company is a perfect match for Eintracht, while the opportunities that we can offer them will fully support them in looking to establish themselves further around Europe.”

“We are looking to continually increase awareness of our company in Europe, and a strong brand like Eintracht Frankfurt, which is known and loved throughout Germany and beyond, will help us to do just that,” said Tony Lee, Head of Europe at Kumho Tire Europe GmbH. “Like Eintracht, our company culture is based on trust, integrity and sustainability, and we have a specific target that by 2045, we should only be developing products which are completely made from sustainable materials.”

The Kumho Tire company was founded in 1960 in Seoul and has gone on to establish itself around the world with over 11,000 employees, selling more than 60 million tyres a year. Brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Hyundai and Kia are fitted by Kumho Tire when they roll off the production line. The European headquarters of the company is located in the Kaiserlei district in Offenbach.
